About the 'tard Behind KLRrider.com

I thought it would be a good thing to introduce myself to you so you will know that I am the real person behind this site.

My name is Bob Hemken and I am just an "average joe" like anyone else.

One of my favorite things to do is to ride my KLR 600 dual sport bike in the hills were I live.

That is why I named this site is named KLRrider.com (SEO? *#!)

Bob Hemken aka KlrRider

I live in Northern California and am happily married (34 years) with two kids (20 and 22). I am old enough to remember were I was when JFK was assassinated but am still young at heart.

My wife says I'm just immature and excessively happy???

I began my Internet marketing experience in mid 2007 and toyed with the idea of becoming an affiliate marketer for some time before actually doing something about it.

I discovered Profit Lance and Wealthy Affiliate about the same time. I chose to go with Profit Lance since it was a one time fee for a lifetime membership. I wasn't to keen to the idea of a monthly membership like Wealthy Affiliate.

I spent about six months devouring everything I could at Profit Lance and tried my hand at promoting some Clickbank products. With a couple of sales (3 to be exact) I had my $77 back and decided to join Wealthy Affiliate. Boy was that an eye opener. Information overload! I immediately started the 6 week action plan (now 8 week Action Plan) and started studying the tutorials in the Training Center.

It wasn't long and I got sidetracked into some other promotions and got busy building BANs sites which is a niche store platform using an eBay feed. The two I built in early 2008 got off to a good start and I thought I had found my pot of gold.

Wasn't that long and it came to a screeching halt. Ebay being the party crashers they are, dumped Commission Junction and made everyone migrate to their Ebay Partner Network and the commissions immediately dwindled to nothing
(they are better now but I now have more profitable irons in the fire).

I started looking for something else to promote. About the same time, August or  September of 2008 Wealthy Affiliate released their "Strip That Fat" campaign and I began promoting that by writing articles and placing classified ads.

I am now promoting about a dozen products in various niches and am holding my own. I can't believe the progress I have made and what I have learned. I would have to say that Wealthy Affiliate University is the best decision I have ever made.

I get asked almost everyday and most of the time by the same people, what is the best course to join. I say "just join one an quite asking about it (I have already told them WA a 100 times)!"

You will never learn unless you take some action. I have learned from several different sites and also from fellow marketers but I must admit that most of my instruction was provided by Wealthy Affiliate University. They have everything needed and in one place!

My suggestion for you is to join up and work on getting your membership covered using the techniques and skills taught. Once you are in the black you are no longer under the gun and you can decide what to promote next. Always reinvest in yourself and your online business and you will continue to grow.

Best Wishes to You and Your Affiliate Marketing Efforts!
